The game started with Cokethorpe dominating. Some great tackles were made by Joe and Toby, and the ball was passed out to the wing with a great run from Joe who crossed it in to Ollie Thorpe, but the keeper made an amazing save allowing Cokethorpe to regain possession. Harry Woodward was solid in defence stopping every man who tried to get past him. There were many more great runs down the wing from Harry Williams and Oliver Thorpe. With Joe getting the ball just outside the box and making an amazing cross, Ollie Thorpe slotted it in. With the first half ending, our defence was going strong with Oscar and Mackenzie holding the line but unfortunately, Cokethorpe got a lucky pass allowing them to tie the game just as the halftime whistle blew. We started the second half with Cokethorpe scoring 3 goals but as our defence lifted its game they did not allow any of their attackers through allowing Ollie Thorpe to do some great running on the wing where he was awarded a free kick. His shot rebounded off the keeper and Sai was there to tuck in another goal. George made a great run down the wing allowing Joe to get a shot on goal and Joe scored amazing goal making it 4-3 to Coke Thorpe. In the last 5 minutes Ollie had a breakthrough with Oscar O just ahead. He passed the ball to Oscar who showed strength and composure to score, tying the game 4-4. A huge mention to Edward Morgan who kept us in the game with amazing saves.
